oshitari_yuushiI've managed to complete my manuscript for Sin and Sinuous in time to send it to my editor, which means there will be no actual bounty hunter coming for me on the next ship over. That said, I will need to restock my concealer for the next novel, if I'm to actually work when I'm in the lab.

I should, somewhat belatedly but with no less gratitude, thank the expedition team for bringing our labs Crawler samples, disgusting though they are. I am confident that we are getting closer to understanding how each trophic level functions in the desert ecosystem.
In less official news, I recently find myself revisiting Earth poetry from the long past, and find myself charmed by how Wordsworth speaks of sleep as an unwilling loved one:
"O gentle Creature! do not use me so,
But once and deeply let me be beguiled"
There really is something to be said for the Romantics.
